The Gay Info Line provided callers with current and accurate information about the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered community of New Hampshire for many, many years. In order to easily access the information that callers required, we kept tabs on all the social groups, gathering places and sympathetic professionals in a computer file that we printed out for the folks who manned the line. The file grew as callers asked for more and more varied information, and more and more groups and businesses wanted to be included. Now Rainbow Resources publishes this database on the web and PFLAG of NH uses it to answer community queries by phone and the Gay Info Line is no more. But this constantly updated information, in this searchable form, is the legacy of that proud organization.

Today the database contains information about over 500 groups, agencies, businesses and individuals in 39 categories: Mixed Social Group, Women's Group, Men's Group, Bisexual group, Student or Youth Resource, TV/TS Resource, GLBT advocacy group, Twelve step group, Family & Friends Support, Spiritual or religious group, Professional organization, Bar, Restaurant , Accommodations, Book, Gift or Retail store, Event Organizers, Event Support, Publication/Publisher, Electronic/Internet Resource, Therapists, Info & Referral, Legal services , Medical services , AIDS/HIV resource, Massage & alternative therapies, Financial services, Travel services, Philanthropy, Mediator, Speakers Bureau, Real Estate services, Contractor, Consumer and Civil Rights Protection, Domestic & Sexual Violence , Crisis Phone Line, Business or Commercial Listings and 'other'. If any of these 'resource types' doesn't seem obvious to you, try searching on that category and it's definition will appear, along with a list of the resources in that category.

Each listing generally includes all the info needed to contact the group or agency by phone, fax, snail mail and email. Often driving directions are given. Meeting info is included, as are links to their internet sites and a brief description of the resource.

Resources in the database frequently volunteer to be included, and the information that we supply about them is what they have told us. The Gay Info Line and Rainbow Resources are not able to check out every resource and guarantee the accuracy of the information that has been provided, so there is the possibility that someone or some group may have misrepresented themselves. Therefore you are urged to use common sense when contacting these resources, as we cannot be responsible for these 500 listings. This information is constantly changing, but we do strive to keep our information current, updating this site at least monthly.
